Here is a chat between Sara Smith and Janice Hewett.
Sara says, Sam pretends to be Ben.
Janice says, How?
Sara says, Knock knock I say who’s there he say it’s me Ben.
and then he shakes my hand. Then I say what ya doing here Ben and he says working I brought my black truck.

Where did she pick that up at?

"Get out of here!" This Kennedy new saying and we are not sure where she got it? It is crazy where your child picks up things. I think it is really rude, but still kind of cute.

no light?

I am sure that most of us can relate to this cartoon. I feel like I have been in school forever and I am sure that Ben feels the same way. I am planning to be done this spring. I know that by me going to school I will be a good example for my children. Is there any light at the end of the tunnel? If so, can I see it?

6 lbs 6 ozs

The day I was getting induce...
At my due date.......

I was pretty small the whole pregnancy. My midwife always said that I measured small at first. Then she realized that I had a small frame. When Kennedy was born she was 6 lbs 6 oz. She was never meant to be small. She gained weight quickly after she was born. My labor was awful. I was induced a few days after my due date, because was mom was leaving. I was given patostin. It was working a little but I was not not in any pain until they broke my water then I could finally feel my contractions and I then wanted a epidural. I had to have oxygen, because Kennedy was was in distress. Her heart rate was dropping. I was getting prep for a cessation when I started throwing up all the time was able to finally be ready to push the baby out. When Kennedy was in distress my mom and began to pray and give positive energy to my belly and she got better. They had a lot faith. I was in the dark on how Kennedy was doing which was probabley for the best. I know that I was getting prep for the cessation and that was about it. Finally I was able to push Kennedy out. She has tons of Golden hair. Ben took over from there. He really keep a eye on Kennedy. He helped out a ton until I was recovering. And of course no one tell how painful it all is going to be. I guess because you get a cute baby out of it. I have a hard time breastfeeding. It was hard and I am so scared to have to do it all over again. Maybe it will go smoother. If so I will not have a cool story to tell.

Way to go Cassidy!

Cassidy just finished a week long dance camp at UNLV. She had a lot of fun! The schools were all High School Varsity and JV dance teams. Cassidy's middle school was invited. There were about 150 girls. .They had a drill down (dance drill) competition between all the girls. Cassidy won. YEA Cassidy!!

We are so proud of her. She always does her best in anything she tries. You can tell. We love you Cassidy!

Just can't get enough...... of Kronk

Our family's favorite movie the Empires New Groove. We have it memorized. Our favorite character is Kronk. He can make us laugh so hard. The pictures below are of the voice of Kronk. His actor name is Patrick Warburton. I think they look a like. What do you think? Do you watch the show? Who is your favorite character?

Elephant or Horse?

This is our schools mascot. We drive by it almost everyday. It is very close to Ben's law school. Kennedy always yells out elephant because it's head is down like a trunk. She knows what a horse is, but Kennedy really thinks this is an elephant.

Wentworth Miller

The tatoos for the show prison break is a 4 hour make up prcess.
Ever since the show prison break was on air. I have had a crush on Wentworth Miller. I have even thought about naming our son after him. During the holidays he was on an ad for Gap and I would walk by just to see the pictures of him. I think I like him because he has this bad boy image which I think every girl has a crush on. Ben knows about my crush and think he is a good actor.

Swing, Swing, Swing

(not really Kennedy)
Swinging on the swing set is all that Kennedy wants to do at the playground. When we drive or walk by the park. She gets so excited and always run as fast as she can and never looks around to see if I am following her. She runs right for the swing and once you get her in she never wants to get out. I will ask her if she wants out and she will YELL NO!! Today it was little hot and the swings were in the sun, she did not care. I had to prey her hand off the chain so we could go home. When she was just a little younger she HATED the swings now she LOVES them.

What a month

It has been a very stressful month for me. Right now I am attending summer school. I am doing this because I want to get done with my undergrad as fast as possible. Summer class are more intense and only 3 weeks long instead of the full semester. I have finish one all ready and I am doing two right on. One of the classes are online and the other is on campus. Since Ben is out of town for two weeks. Kennedy has to go to day care or to a friends to be watch. Unfortunately she has been sick with an ear infection which has made it hard for me to attend school and for her to left. Another huge stress has been that our basement flooded. The landlord has been very slow to get things started so we have done most of it ourselves. Not fun!!! Most of my books and pictures are damaged. It seems that most of these things happen when Ben is out of town and I don't have the phone with me. But now we are having nice weather and I have been able to ride my scooter to school everyday.

When our family went to Utah to visit family. We all went to Bridal Veil Falls. Jimmy with his boys went on a hike to the falls. It was Kennedy's first hike. She had tons of fun until she got tried and wanted to be carried by only me. She did not her dad to carry her. Then we had lunch with Marianne and the rest of the family.

Of course while we were in Utah Ben had to go to Provo Scooter Lounge. We also saw my parents and played in the park. It was good to see Jimmy's kids as well as Julie's. They all about the same age.

As we were their we attended the baby blessing of Kimball's youngest.

Mother Hewett and my sister in laws

Last week we went to Utah to see Mother Hewett. She was in good spirits. We were glad that we were able to spend some time with family.

Kennedy with her cousins

Kennedy had so much fun with cousins in AZ. They did everything together. Her favorite thing to do was play on the swing set and the water. She also liked the dog's water. She loved playing in that. At the club house they had a little train to play in.
A few weeks ago we went to AZ to visit family. All of the adult women went to dinner with out our children. It was so nice. The place was a little odd it closes at 8:30pm. They were cleaning up while we were still there. And it was a Friday night.

Kennedy is very brave

Kennedy has been pretty sick lately. She has had a fever for the past few days, but no other symptoms. I called Ben who has been out of town for about a week, what I should do. HE told me to take her to the doctor. I am glad I did come to find out she had an ear infection. Her first one that I know about. He said that it was odd since it is in the summer, and she was not complaining about it and had no other symptoms. She just a good little girl. As I am writing this Kennedy sees her pictures and is yelling out Kennedy.
Since Ben is out of town every time we go past the law school she yells out Daddy. It is really cute.

Christmas card

Our good friend Curtis took this picture of my daughter Kennedy and I just before Christmas. It was so cold that day. We made a family christmas card and sent it out to friends and family.
